Amit R. Nanwani's office is at 83 Gunj Bazar here in Nadiad. Being right in the heart of the bazaar means we are surrounded by all sorts of businesses, which makes sense given the work we do. It’s a pretty old-school environment. We don’t have a receptionist at a glass desk or anything like that. Instead, you’ll likely find Amit or one of the staff members surrounded by stacks of paper. The office is number 83, and it’s a place where we spend a lot of hours, especially during tax season. We do a lot of chartered accountancy work, which mostly means checking and re-checking figures until they match up. It’s a lot of sitting and a lot of focus. The air in the bazaar can be dusty, and the noise of the scooters outside is constant, but you get used to it after a few days. We don’t really bother with big speeches about values. People come to us because they have a problem with their taxes or they need their business accounts looked at, and we just do our best to help them out. The furniture is practical, nothing more. We’ve got a small kettle for making tea, which is pretty much essential for those long afternoons. It is a simple tool but it helps. It's just a regular local office where work gets done at a steady pace, and we like it that way.
