This company is run by me, Sougata, and I operate out of Village Bijaynagar. You have to go through the Saguna post office area in Kalyani to find us. It’s in the Nadia district. Since it’s a One Person Company, it’s very personal. I work out of a small space at Samir Ray’s place. It isn't a corporate office with a receptionist. It’s just me and sometimes a few local guys I hire for specific jobs. I do a bit of everything—buying materials, talking to the laborers, and making sure the walls are straight. Living and working in a village means everyone knows your name and your family. You can’t do a bad job because you’ll hear about it at the tea shop the next morning. I handle small construction projects and help people with land stuff around Kalyani. It’s quiet out here compared to Kolkata, which I like. I don't have any big brochures or a marketing team. My work is my advertisement. If a house is built well, the neighbors will ask who did it. That’s how I get most of my business. It’s a slow and steady way of working. I make sure to keep my costs low so I can stay in business. It’s just honest work in a place I call home. I’ve lived here a long time and plan to stay for good.
