You can find us in Village Panthopara, which everyone around here calls Monosha Bari. It’s tucked away in the Ranaghat area of Nadia district. Being in a village means things move a bit slower than the big cities, but we stay busy with our realty development work. The office is actually at Krishna Chandra Dey Majumder’s place. It’s a quiet spot most of the time, except when the local kids are playing outside or a tractor goes by. We spend a lot of time looking at land maps and talking to folks about local property. The air is better here than in Kolkata, that’s for sure. We have a few old wooden desks and some plastic chairs for guests. There’s always a pot of tea being made somewhere nearby. Rain gets pretty heavy during the monsoon, and the road gets a bit muddy, but we manage. We aren’t some big corporate office with glass walls. We’re just a part of the village, doing our job with the land. Most people who come by are locals we’ve known for years. We handle the paperwork for different projects around the district.
