Shaifali Rolls Ltd.

Out here in Nadia, specifically in the area of Pritinagar, we run the Shaifali Rolls facility. It’s a rural setting, so things move a bit slower than they do in the big city. We’ve got the village and the post office right nearby. Our setup is pretty straightforward for what we do. We have the big shed for the rolls and a small corner for the administrative work. It’s a bit dusty because of the materials we use, but that’s just how it is in this line of work. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a sleek office or expensive furniture. We have wooden desks that have seen better days and a lot of paper ledgers. Most of our workers walk or cycle to the site from their homes nearby. During the summer, the heat inside the plant is quite intense, so we take plenty of water breaks. Shaifali Rolls is a local fixture now. We deal with suppliers and transport trucks all day long. The road to the village isn’t always the smoothest, but it gets the trucks where they need to go. We like the quiet evenings after the machines are finally turned off for the day. It’s a practical business. We don't spend money on fancy brochures or big advertisements. We just make sure the rolls are made correctly. It’s a long day, but it’s what we’ve done for years and we are comfortable with this way of life.
