Newby Teas Overseas (P) Ltd.

Our place is located out in Bhasa, right on D H Road in Bishnupur. It’s a bit of a drive from the main city, but it’s a good spot for what we do with the land we have. At Newby Teas Overseas, we spend our days around tea. The air in our facility usually smells like dried leaves and earth, which is a nice smell to have around. It’s a pleasant way to work every day. We handle the overseas side of things, so there’s a lot of talk about shipping containers and customs papers in the office. We aren't a massive corporate office with people in suits; most of us wear comfortable clothes because we’re moving around the warehouse a lot. The DH Road can get quite congested with big trucks, so we have to plan our shipments very carefully. We’ve got a team that really knows their tea. They can tell the difference between various batches just by looking at the leaves. We don't do much advertising at all. We just focus on getting the tea sorted and packed properly. Sometimes the heavy rain in Bishnupur makes things a bit difficult, but we’ve got a sturdy roof over our heads. It’s a simple operation. We receive the tea, we check the quality, and we send it off to wherever it’s going. We like the slower pace of life out here. It’s not as frantic as the city center. We just keep our heads down and do our work.
