We are located at Railway Quarters No 32, which is part of the VRC section in the Vontikoppal Railway Colony. This is situated in the Yadavagiri area of Mysore. It’s a fairly quiet part of town, mostly because it’s a residential area for railway staff and their families. The buildings here have a certain look to them, a bit older and more solid than the new constructions you see elsewhere. Infosys has us working out of this particular quarter, and it’s a very different vibe than a modern office park. There are plenty of old trees around the colony, so we get a lot of shade and can hear birds in the morning. Of course, we also hear the trains passing by since we are right in the railway colony, but that just becomes background noise after a few days. The rooms inside No 32 are high-ceilinged and stay pretty cool during the Mysore summers. We don't have any big corporate signs, just the address on the door. It’s a very calm place to spend the day. We usually bring our own lunch and eat together in the small kitchen area. There’s a sense of history in these walls that you don’t get in newer buildings. We just go about our business, finishing the tasks we are assigned and keeping the place tidy. It’s an honest, simple workplace for us and we like the slow pace of the neighborhood.
