Excel Soft Technologies Pvt. Ltd. is at 1-B in the Hootagalli Industrial Area. Being in an industrial zone means we aren’t in one of those glass-walled towers you see in the city center. It is a lot more practical here. The building is sturdy, and we share the area with factories and warehouses. Inside, we have our rows of computers and a server room that hums all day. The air conditioning is always running because the machines get hot. We spend a lot of time staring at screens and typing, so it is a pretty quiet office compared to the noise of the factories outside. Hootagalli has its own rhythm, with workers coming and going at shift changes. We usually bring our own lunches because there aren't many places to eat nearby besides a few small stalls. The office has a small pantry where we make coffee and sometimes eat together. We have been here since the industrial area started expanding. It is a good spot for us because the rent is reasonable and we have all the space we need for our equipment. Sometimes the internet acts up, but that is just part of being out here. We don't have a fancy lobby or any corporate branding on the walls, just our work and the people who do it.
