Adhikari Engineering

You can find Adhikari Engineering over at C-185 in the Yadavagiri Industrial Area. Being in an industrial zone means there is always a lot of movement around us. Trucks are constantly backing in and out of the narrow streets and you can hear the sound of other factories working nearby. Our space is pretty basic with high ceilings and plenty of room for the heavy equipment we use. We mostly deal with fabrication and general engineering tasks that come our way from other businesses in the area. It is not the cleanest work in the world but we like it. We usually start the day with a quick meeting over tea to see what needs to be welded or cut. The floor is concrete and stays cool in the morning but gets hard on the feet after standing for eight hours. We have a small corner where we keep our lunch boxes and take a break when the noise gets to be too much. We do not have a secretary or anyone to answer the phones, so if we are busy with a machine, we might miss a call. Most people just drop by because they are working in the same area anyway. We keep things simple and just focus on getting the metal cut and the parts joined together like they are supposed to be. It is just a normal shop life. (248 words)
