Indian Precision Gears

If you come down to the CMT Industrial Estate, you will find Indian Precision Gears at No. 3. We are right next to the JK Tyre plant in Metagalli. It’s a noisy area, as you would expect from an industrial estate. There is always the sound of machines or trucks moving around near KRS. Our workshop isn't a showroom. It’s a place where we actually make things. There is grease on the floor and tools scattered on the workbenches most of the time. We focus on gears, and that means we spend a lot of time looking at metal and measuring things. It’s precise work, like the name says, but the environment is very hands-on. Metagalli is a good spot for this kind of business because everything we need is nearby. We have been in this unit for quite some time now. The building is older, but it serves us well. Most of us here have worked with our hands for years. We don't spend much time on the computer unless we have to. Usually, we are out on the floor. It’s not the cleanest job, but it’s honest. When the shift ends, we usually stand outside for a bit before heading home. The JK Tyre building next door is a good landmark for people trying to find us. It’s just a regular shop in a busy industrial zone. We like it that way.
