Down at C-135 in the Hebbal Industrial Estate, things get pretty loud sometimes. That’s just the nature of engineering work. We have been in this spot for quite a long time. The floor is usually covered in some kind of metal shavings or oil, no matter how much we try to sweep it. It’s just the way the shop is. We spend most of our time looking at blueprints or working with the lathes and drills. It’s not the cleanest job, but we like it well enough. There are about ten of us here on a normal day. We talk mostly about the jobs we have sitting on the benches. Sometimes a machine breaks down and we have to figure out how to fix it ourselves before we can get back to the customer’s order. It’s a lot of hands-on stuff. Hebbal is a good area for this kind of business because all our suppliers are nearby. You don’t have to go far to find what you need. We keep a stash of old parts in the back just in case. You never know when a piece of scrap might be exactly what you need for a quick fix. We don't spend much on decor. The walls are mostly covered in calendars and safety posters that have been there for years. We just show up, do the work, and go home. It’s a straightforward life here at the shop. We don't make a big fuss.
