This is the work of an assistant design engineer over at Poorna Engineering Consultants. The address is a bit of a mouthful, being at M.I.G-1 Vijaynagar Ext in K R Nagar, Mysore. It’s a quiet residential area, not like the big industrial zones you see in larger cities. Working from S/O Natashekar’s place means things are a bit more personal and less like a cold office building. Mysore has a way of staying calm, and that reflects in how the design work happens here. There are a lot of sketches and calculations spread across the table. Sometimes the neighbors’ kids are playing outside and you can hear them while trying to focus on a complicated structural layout. It’s a small operation, really just focusing on the consulting side of things. We don't have a receptionist or a lobby. You just come to the house number 43 and find us working. It’s practical and it keeps the overhead low. The drawings take a lot of time and patience. Sometimes the power goes out for a bit and we just wait it out on the porch with some coffee. It’s not a fast-paced corporate life, but it suits the way things are done in K R Nagar. We just handle the engineering bits that come our way, one project at a time, without any big fuss or fancy presentations. It's just simple work in a quiet part of town.
