Our workplace is a bit unusual because it’s located in the old Exhibition Building on the Mysore Medical College campus. It’s got that old-style architecture which feels very different from a modern office block. Even though the name mentions Bangalore, we are firmly rooted here in Mysore at the 570021 zip code. Inside the building, we’ve got all the modern computer gear for data processing, but the high ceilings and the vibe of the place remind you of its history. It’s a quiet campus, though you see students and doctors-in-training walking around quite a bit. Working in Mysore is a lot calmer than being in a bigger city. The commute is easier, and the air feels a bit fresher. We spend most of our hours looking at spreadsheets and managing files. It’s a lot of sitting down, so we make sure to walk around the campus during our breaks just to stretch our legs. Sometimes tourists wander near the exhibition building by mistake, which gives us something to look at out the windows. We aren't trying to be the most high-tech looking office in the world; we just use the space we have to get the work done. It’s a decent setup, and the mix of old building and new technology works well enough for us. We just keep the data moving and enjoy the slower pace of life here.
