You can find our office at Ratna Villa on Pashupati Lane, which is right by the petrol pump in Mithanpura, Muzaffarpur. The building is a large villa that has been converted into a workspace for the bank. It feels more like a home than a stiff office building, which we quite like. We have the banking counters and desks set up in the rooms, and there’s usually a bit of a breeze coming through the windows. The area around the petrol pump is always busy with vehicles and people, so there is a constant background noise of engines and horns. Inside, we focus on the daily ledger work and assisting the people who visit from the nearby areas. The heat in Muzaffarpur can be quite intense during the summer, so we keep the fans going all day long. We have a small space in the back where we store the old records and files that aren't used every day. It’s a very simple and functional setup. Most of the staff live in the city and have been with the bank for several years. We don't have any fancy mission statements or corporate talk. We just show up, do the banking tasks, and help the folks who come in. It’s a very grounded and practical way to run things. We appreciate the friendly nature of the neighborhood and the fact that our workplace feels like part of the community.
