Steel Pipe Industries

Steel Pipe Industries is out at C-37 in the UPSIDC Industrial Area over in Begrajpur. It’s a long way from the main city, so it’s mostly just factories and warehouses out this way. Our building is a standard industrial shed, nothing fancy to look at from the outside. Inside, it’s a different story with the machines running and the pipes stacked up high. The noise is something you just get used to after a few days. We’ve got a small crew here who knows how to handle the equipment. Begrajpur can get really hot in the summer, and the metal roof doesn't help much, but we have some big fans to move the air around. It’s a dusty environment, and your clothes usually end up looking pretty rough by the end of a shift. We deal with pipes of all different sizes, so there’s a lot of moving things around with the forklift. The office is just a small partitioned corner where we keep the ledgers and the phone. We don’t get many visitors all the way out here, mostly just the truck drivers and the occasional supplier. It’s a grit-and-grind kind of place. We start early when the air is still a bit cool and keep going until the day’s production is done. It’s a simple life focused on getting the orders out of the gate on time and making sure the machines don't break down.
