Blue Grain

Blue Grain is a small operation located inside the Vodafone Mini Store area on Station Road. We are right in the New Mandi section of town. It is a very busy area with people always coming and going from the station. We don't have a big storefront of our own, so you have to look for the Vodafone sign to find us. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze sharing space, but it keeps our costs down and lets us stay in a good location. We handle grain and related things, mostly just focusing on the basics. There isn't much room for a lot of staff, so it is usually just one or two of us here at any given time. We spend a lot of time on the phone or writing down numbers on scraps of paper. It’s not a very organized system, but we haven't lost anything yet. The air in New Mandi is always full of different smells and sounds from the market. We like being part of that energy even if it gets a bit overwhelming on Mondays. We don't do any big promotions or sales events. People just find us by word of mouth or by walking into the shop for something else. It is a simple way to run a business. We aren't looking to be the biggest name in town. We just want to do our part and go home at the end of the day.
