I work over at the Raninagar facility which is located inside the industrial growth centre. It is a huge place with a lot of activity going on every single day. My shift usually starts quite early in the morning when the air is still a bit cool. You can hear the noise of the machines and the bottles moving on the belts from the moment you walk in. It is a major operation here in the WBIIDC area, and we are mostly focused on getting the crates loaded onto the big trucks for the distributors. It is definitely not like a small corner shop where you talk to every customer. Everything here is measured and tracked on clipboards. The heat inside the plant can get pretty strong during the summer months, but we have large fans to keep the air moving. We usually take our breaks in the canteen and talk about the local news or how the commute was. Getting to the Raninagar growth centre takes me about twenty minutes on my motorcycle. The roads are mostly okay, but the heavy traffic near the industrial gates can be a bit of a struggle sometimes. There is a lot of security at the main entrance, so we have to show our ID every time we come in. It is a steady job and we just focus on getting the work done. Sometimes a machine breaks down and we all have to wait for the repair crew to fix things.
