Gopal Tea House

Gopal Tea House is over at 83/15/1, Nirupama Debi Road in Berhampore. We’re in the Murshidabad district, which has a lot of history. Our shop is tucked away on a street that gets quite a lot of foot traffic. It’s a small place, honestly. You might miss it if you aren't looking. We’ve got shelves lined with different teas and a few jars of biscuits. Most of the people who come in are locals who live just a few houses away. They stop by for their daily supply or just to see what’s new. We don’t have any fancy lighting or modern furniture. Just some old wooden counters and a scale that’s been with us for years. We spend the day weighing out tea and wrapping it in paper. It’s a quiet life. Sometimes the rain floods the road a little bit, and we have to put up a barrier at the door. We know everyone's preferences, like who wants the strong CTC and who likes the lighter leaves. We don't do any big advertising. Word of mouth is enough for us. We've been here through many seasons, watching the town change while we stay much the same. It’s just a honest little tea house for the neighborhood. We keep the kettle going for anyone who wants a quick taste before they buy. It’s how we’ve always done it. On Sundays, the street is a bit quieter and we close up a little earlier than usual. We like it.
