Asa Cyber Cafe

If you go to the Domkal New Market in Berhampore you will find us there. The market is always loud with people shouting and bikes going past. Our cafe is tucked in among the other shops. It’s got that specific smell of electronics and maybe a bit of dust. We have a row of computers against the wall and some plastic chairs that have seen better days. People come in to print out forms or check their email when their own internet is acting up. The lighting isn't the best but it works for what we do. We spend a lot of time helping people who aren't sure how to attach a file or fill out a government form online. There is always a bit of a queue during the middle of the day when the market is at its busiest. We have a small counter where we keep the main printer and the scanner. Sometimes the internet slows down and we have to restart the router which is a bit of a pain for everyone. We try to keep things moving though. There is a small fan overhead that wobbles a bit when it's on high speed. It’s just a basic cyber cafe for the local folks in Domkal. We don't have fancy snacks or coffee just the computers and the work. It gets the job done for the people living around Berhampore and keeps us pretty busy.
