Down in Jogeshwari West, specifically at Shop No 8 in Haryana Basti Lokse, is where you'll find Yadav Motors. It’s a garage, plain and simple. We fix engines, change oil, and look at whatever is making that weird clicking sound in your car. The floor is usually covered in some oil stains, but that’s just how a mechanic shop looks when you're actually working. We have been in this part of Jogeshwari for years. It’s a tough area with a lot of vehicles passing through all day, so we stay pretty busy. We have a couple of guys who are very good with their tools. They don't talk much, they just get under the hood and start working until the job is done. We don't have a waiting room with a TV or air conditioning. People usually just stand around outside or go get a hot tea nearby while we finish up the repairs. It can get pretty hot in the shop during the afternoons, but we keep the big doors wide open for air. We handle all sorts of repairs here. Sometimes it’s just a flat tire that needs a patch, and other times the whole gearbox needs to be taken apart and looked at. We tell people honestly if a part really needs replacing or if it can last another month or two. We aren't trying to get rich quick, just trying to do a good job so people come back next time their car breaks down. Haryana Basti is a crowded place, but it's where we work. It’s not pretty, but we get the cars running again.
