Matoshree Enterprises

Matoshree Enterprises is tucked into Shop No 23 over in Hazari Bagh. It’s one of those spots where you just get used to the rhythm of the street. Most mornings start with the sound of the metal shutter sliding up and hitting the top of the frame. It’s a bit loud, but the neighbors are used to it by now. We spend most of the day surrounded by whatever stock has come in that week. There’s not much space to move around once the boxes start piling up near the back wall. Hazari Bagh has its own way of moving, with people heading to work or just stopping by to ask for directions. We’ve been at this shop for a while, and the walls show it. There are marks where furniture moved or where we taped up calendars from three years ago. It isn't fancy, just a room with a desk and some shelves. Sometimes the fan makes a clicking sound when it’s on high, but it keeps the air moving. We usually have a pot of tea sitting somewhere, getting cold because we got busy with a customer or a delivery. The light comes in through the front door mostly. It’s just how we do things here every day. No big speeches or fancy signs, just the shop and the work that needs doing before we head home for dinner.
