Varkhade'S Clinic

Down in Byculla East, specifically at Shop No. 1 in the Nawab Ayaz Ali Khan Trust Chawl, is where our clinic sits. We are right near the Voltas building and across from Nirmal Park on Dr. Ambedkar Road. This area of Mumbai is always moving, and our clinic is a small part of that daily rhythm. It’s an old-style building, the kind where you know all your neighbors. We’ve been seeing patients from this trust chawl and the surrounding blocks for a long time. People drop in for all kinds of small health issues, or just because they’ve had a cough for too long. The space inside is tight, as you’d expect for a shop-front clinic in this part of town, but we make it work. There’s a lot of history in these walls. We see the same families year after year. Sometimes the noise from the traffic on Ambedkar Road is quite loud, but we just talk over it. We don't have a big receptionist desk or anything formal. You just come in, wait your turn, and talk to the doctor about what is bothering you. It’s a very local way of doing things. We know the people here and they know us. We aren't trying to be a big fancy hospital, just a reliable place where you can get your health checked without having to travel too far from home. We keep things simple and honest for everyone who walks in.
