V. K. Plastics is located in Goregaon East, right inside Nigo’s Industrial Estate on Walbhat Road. We’re at unit number 5, not far from the petrol pump. This area is always loud and busy with trucks and production, which suits us just fine. We mostly handle plastic components and manufacturing work for various industries. It’s a dusty environment sometimes, but that’s just the nature of the business. We have machines running most of the day, making whatever parts the current orders require. We’ve been here for years, and the neighbors in the estate all know each other. It’s a very hands-on job. You won’t find many people in suits around here. We’re usually on the shop floor checking the molds or making sure the raw materials arrived on time. The traffic on Walbhat Road can be a nightmare in the evenings, but we’re used to it by now. We deal with a lot of different industries that need plastic bits and pieces for their products. We don’t have a fancy showroom to show off. If you come by, you’ll just see the machines and the stacks of finished goods ready for delivery. It’s a straightforward manufacturing operation. We just focus on getting the dimensions right and finishing the batches so we can move on to the next one. It’s hard work, but we like the pace of it and the people we deal with daily.
