Universal Controls

We’re located at Shop Number 4 in the Sanskruti Apartment building. This is in Phase Ii of Neelam Nagar, over in Mulund East. It’s a residential neighborhood, so it’s a bit quieter than the West side of the tracks. The shop is small, but it’s packed with all sorts of controls and electrical parts. We’ve been here for years, and most of the people living in the apartments above know us by name. It’s a simple setup. We open up in the morning, sweep the front, and start going through the list of things that need to be delivered or picked up. There isn’t much room for a lot of people inside, so it’s mostly us and the occasional customer coming in for a specific part. We’ve got shelves reaching all the way to the ceiling, and sometimes it takes a ladder to find what someone is looking for. We don’t have a fancy website or a sales team. If someone needs something, they usually just call us or walk in. We spend a lot of time talking to local contractors and electricians who stop by for their supplies. It’s a steady pace. We aren't trying to grow into some huge corporation. We just like being part of the Mulund community and having a reliable place to work every day. It’s homey, in its own way, and the neighbors are usually quite friendly.
