Umed Indoplast

Umed Indoplast is over on Agra Road in Goregaon West. Our address is 33/257, which is an older building that’s been around for quite some time. We’ve been working out of this space for years, and it’s definitely got that lived-in feel. We do a lot of work with plastics, and the shop is usually filled with the sound of things being moved around. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze sometimes when we have a big shipment coming in or going out. Agra Road stays pretty busy, so there’s always the sound of horns and people shouting outside. We don't really bother with making the place look like a showroom. It’s a working space first and foremost. There are stacks of samples on the shelves and old ledgers tucked away in the drawers. We usually have the front door open to let in a bit of a breeze, though it mostly just lets in the street noise. Our neighbors are all small businesses like us, so we all kind of know each other. If someone needs a hand moving something heavy, we usually help out. It’s not a high-tech operation, just a lot of manual labor and keeping track of orders. We show up every day and do what needs to be done without much fuss. We've got a small kettle in the corner for making tea when things get quiet. It's just our little spot on a very busy road in the city.
