Our gym is right over by the Maroshi Depot, just across from the Marol Education Academy School. You can hear the buses pulling in all day long while people are working out. It is not one of those air-conditioned places with bright lights and juice bars. We have got iron plates, some benches, and a few racks for lifting. The floor has some cracks and the paint is peeling a bit near the windows because of the rain. It is a place for people who actually want to train hard and don't mind getting a bit sweaty. Usually, the younger crowd from Marol comes in after school or work. We keep the music loud to keep the energy up. My friend and I are usually here to show people how to hold the bars properly so they don't hurt their backs. It gets really crowded in the evenings when everyone finishes their shift. We have some old posters on the walls and a fan that squeaks a little. It is simple, really. You come in, you do your sets, and you go home. We have been in this spot for a while now and most of the regulars are like friends. It’s on Nehru Road, so it’s easy to find if you know where the depot is. We don't do much advertising, just word of mouth from the guys who train here and live in the area.
