I've been teaching Physics here at Sargam Apartment in Dahisar(East) for quite some time. It's not a big coaching center or anything like that. Just my living room mostly, where students sit around and we go through the textbooks at A/402. Physics can be a real headache for most kids, so I try to make them see it's just how the world works, even if the math gets messy. Shiv Vallabh Cross Road is always noisy, so we have to keep the windows shut sometimes just to hear ourselves talk. I started doing this because I liked the subject, and it just turned into a daily routine. Some students come early, some come late, and there’s always someone who forgot their notes. We spend a lot of time on those old numerical problems that never seem to change. The tea kettle is usually on because it’s a long day once the school hours are over. I don’t use any fancy tablets or smart boards, just a chalkboard and some chalk that leaves dust everywhere. Dahisar is a quiet place if you know where to look, but my corner gets pretty lively with all the teenagers coming in and out. It’s hard work, and sometimes my throat hurts from talking so much, but it’s what I do. It’s just me and the books here in Mumbai, nothing more to it. I try to help them pass their exams without making it too stressful.
