The City Motor Co.

You can find us at number 9 in the Mangesh Building. We are located on Avantikabai Gokhale Road, which is a street that always seems to have something going on. The building itself has been around for quite a while and has that old-school charm, though it means the walls need a fresh coat of paint every now and then. Our space for The City Motor Co. is on the ground level, which makes it easy for people to just walk in off the street. It’s not a very big area, so things are stacked pretty close together. We have a couple of old wooden desks where we keep the ledgers and do the billing. The floor is made of that old patterned tile you don't see much anymore. It’s often a bit dark inside because the building next door is so close, so we keep the lights on even during the day. There is a small tea shop just a few doors down, and the smell of ginger tea often drifts into our doorway in the mornings. We don’t have any fancy displays or expensive lighting. It’s just a place where we keep track of the business and talk to the folks who drop by. It’s been our home for a long time, and we’ve become a part of the daily life on Gokhale Road without making much of a fuss about it. We usually close up shop once the evening rush starts to settle down a bit.
