Technova Engineering

We set up our workshop on the first floor of the Sir Nayar Samaj Building, which is part of the Municipal Staff Housing Society in Dadar East. It’s right near the Midtown Pritam Hotel, which is a good spot to tell people when they are trying to find us for the first time. We do a lot of engineering work here, mostly focused on small-scale projects and parts. The building is older, and you can hear the sounds of Dadar all day long, especially the trains and the traffic. Inside, it’s mostly just us, our tools, and a lot of metal scraps and components. We are not a big company with a HR department or anything like that. It’s just a few guys who know how to handle machinery and design bits and pieces for different industries. Our desks are usually covered in grease or dust from whatever we are working on at the moment. We don't have a receptionist, so if the phone rings, whoever is closest just picks it up. Some days are really quiet and we just spend them cleaning the equipment, and other days it is non-stop with people dropping off orders. We've been here in Dadar for a long time and we like the neighborhood. It feels like home even when the work is stressful. We just try to do a solid job and get things out the door on time. It’s not a glamorous life, but it’s what we know how to do.
