Technocrats Automation Systems is over in Goregaon East, specifically at A-212 in the Virwani Industrial Estate. If you know the Western Express Highway, you know how the traffic can be during the rush hour, so most of us try to get in early to beat the mess. The estate is a busy place with a lot of different businesses crammed together, but we have our little corner in the A building. We work on automation stuff, which involves a lot of wiring, sensors, and looking at computer screens until our eyes get tired. The office is basically filled with parts and half-finished projects. It is not the kind of place you would find in a magazine, but it works for what we do. We have some old desks and a coffee machine that works when it feels like it. Most of the guys here are engineers who would rather talk about logic gates than anything else. We spend a lot of time testing systems to make sure they don't glitch out. Goregaon is a loud place, so there is always the sound of horns or construction in the background. We just keep our heads down and focus on the technical side of things. It is a tight space but we make it work. Sometimes we stay late when a project is giving us trouble, but that is just the nature of automation.
