We are based at 401, Carlton Flats, right in the middle of Hiranandani Estate over in Thane. It’s a pretty lively area, and being here in Maharashtra 400607 means there is always something happening outside the windows. The office itself is just a regular workspace where we handle all the engineering bits and pieces for Tce Consulting Engineers Ltd. We have been in this building for a while now, and the commute through Thane traffic can be a real headache some mornings, but you get used to it after a few years. Inside the flats, it is mostly quiet, save for the sound of the fans and people typing away at their keyboards. We keep a lot of our project files in big metal cabinets against the walls. It isn't a very large space, but it fits us just fine for what we need to do. Most of the staff here have their own little routines, like who makes the first pot of tea or who remembers to lock the balcony door at the end of the day. We don't spend much time on fancy decorations or anything like that. It’s more about getting the drawings done and checking the numbers on the screen. Sometimes we look out at the other buildings in the estate and wonder if everyone else is as busy as we are. It’s a practical place to work, and it feels like a normal part of the local community here in Thane. We've got a small fridge for our lunches and a lot of pens that always seem to go missing.
