Swati Classes

We’ve been running Swati Classes out of Flat 102 in the Aakash 3 building for a good while now. It’s right here in Yashwant Nagar, which is a quiet enough corner of Santacruz East once you get away from the main noise. Most people know the area because we’re quite close to Vakola Church. It’s just a regular apartment where we set up some benches and boards so students from the neighborhood have a place to sit and study after their school hours. We started small, just helping a few kids from the nearby buildings, and it kind of grew from there through word of mouth. Sometimes the fan makes a bit of noise or the hallway gets a little crowded when classes change over, but that’s just how it is in a residential building. We don’t have fancy reception desks or big signs. It’s just us teaching and the students trying to get their homework and exams sorted. Being in Santacruz East means we see a lot of the local families every day. We’ve stayed in this same spot because it’s easy for the kids to walk to. If you’re coming from the church side, it’s only a few minutes' walk. We keep things pretty simple here. There’s no big corporate vibe, just some chairs, books, and a lot of talking about different subjects until the sun goes down and the last student heads home for dinner. It works for us and the families around here.
