Surbhi Nursing Home

Our place is in Building No 3, which is part of the Kalpavrisha complex in Vile Parle East. It is a bit of a landmark because we are quite close to the telephone exchange on S V Road. If you’ve ever been stuck in the traffic on S V Road, you’ve probably passed by us without even realizing it. The nursing home has been a part of this neighborhood for years. It’s not a five-star hotel, and we don’t pretend it is. It’s a practical building where we take care of people who need it. The rooms are basic but they are kept clean, and the staff is mostly made up of people who live nearby in the 400057 area. We see a lot of families coming through the doors, some looking worried and others relieved to be heading home. There is always a smell of antiseptic in the air, which I guess is normal for a place like this. The elevator in the building is a bit old and slow, so we often tell people to just use the stairs if they are in a hurry. We don't spend money on fancy advertisements or big signs. People usually find us because someone they know told them where we were. It’s just how things work in this part of town. We just keep our heads down and do the work every day without any big fuss or unnecessary talk.
