You can find us at Karapurkar Chawl, room 107, on J B Marg. We are located in the Elphinstone Road area of Mumbai, very close to the Parel S T Depot. It’s a very traditional Mumbai setting, being in a chawl. The space is small and we make use of every inch we have for the students to sit. It’s a busy neighborhood, and there is always something happening outside near the depot. Inside, Sunny Sir spends his time going through lessons with the kids. We don't have a reception desk or a waiting lounge. People just walk in, find a spot, and start their work. It gets quite warm in the afternoons, but the fans keep things moving. We’ve been teaching here for years, and it’s a very grounded atmosphere. The walls are covered with some old charts and schedules. There is a sense of familiarity here because everyone knows everyone else in the building. We don't use any complicated technology; it’s just books, pens, and a lot of talking through the problems. Students come from the local chawls and nearby apartments. We provide a place where they can focus away from their crowded homes. It’s simple, it’s a bit cramped sometimes, but it’s where the work happens every single day without fail. We like the grit of this area and the way everyone just gets on with things.
