Stavan Exports

If you come down to Khetwadi Road Number 3, you will find us in Harihar Niwas at number 17. It is right in the thick of the Kalbadevi Road area, so you can imagine how crowded the streets get with all the carts and people moving around. Stavan Exports is basically just a few of us working out of this space, surrounded by a lot of cardboard boxes and shipping labels. We spend a good chunk of our day on the phone or checking emails to see where our latest shipments are currently sitting. It can get a bit stressful when a container is delayed or if the paperwork isn't exactly right, but that is just the nature of the export business I guess. The building itself is older, so the rooms are a bit cramped and the light isn't always great, but it works for what we need. We drink a lot of tea to stay focused while we are sorting through the different items we send out. It is a lot of checking and re-checking details to make sure nothing gets mixed up before it leaves the city. We are not trying to be anything big or flashy, just trying to keep our regular customers happy by getting their orders out the door. It is a long day most of the time, and by the evening we are usually pretty worn out from the noise of the street and the constant bustle of the market.
