Sonia Marine Exports Private Limited is located right in the heart of the action at Sassoon Dock in Colaba. Our office is in the B.P.T. Building, room number 1773. If you know Mumbai, you know how busy the docks can get, especially early in the morning when the catch comes in. We deal with marine exports, so being right here is pretty much essential for us. The smell of the sea and the noise of the cranes are just part of our daily life. It’s a gritty, hardworking environment. Our office isn't a place for suits; it’s a place for boots and practical clothes. We spend our time coordinating with fishermen and shipping companies to get marine products out to different parts of the world. It’s a lot of physical work and constant checking of temperatures and shipping containers. Sometimes the weather makes everything difficult, and other times it's the market prices that give us a headache. We don’t have time for corporate speeches or polished presentations. We just focus on the fish and the freight. We’ve been at Sassoon Dock for a long time and we know almost everyone around here. It’s a tough business but it’s what we know. We are just a local Mumbai crew making sure things move from the ocean to the export market without too many hitches. The B.P.T. Building has a lot of history and we're just one small part of it.
