You can find us at the 12th Shop on the 1st Floor of the Gilbert Compound. It is tucked away in Durga Mandir Lane on Kherani Road. Sakinaka is a very crowded area and this lane is no different. We are situated right between the Husainia Masjid and the Durga Mandir, so it is quite a spiritual spot if you think about it. The walk up to the first floor is narrow and the stairs are a bit steep. Inside the shop, we have everything crammed in pretty tight. It is a typical Sakinaka workspace where every inch of floor space is used for something important. The noise from the street downstairs never really stops, but after a while, you just stop hearing it. We have a small window that looks out over the lane, though there isn't much of a view except for other buildings and the tops of trucks. Most of our day is spent dealing with people coming in and out of the compound. It is a bit dusty because of all the construction nearby, so we are always wiping down the desks. It is an honest place to work and we have been here long enough that the locals know us by name. There is always a lot of activity in the compound with people loading and unloading goods at all hours. It keeps us on our toes.
