Small Animal Clinic

We are tucked away on Road 5th inside Ganpat Niwas, which is a fairly quiet corner of Khar West compared to the main shopping streets nearby. It is a small clinic, exactly like the name says on the door. We have two separate units, Number 13 and Number 18, so the staff is constantly running back and forth between them across the shared hallway. Most of the people who come here are our neighbors from just around the block. They bring their dogs in for their yearly shots or just because a pet ate something it really should not have during a walk. It feels more like a regular house than a medical clinic sometimes because the building is an older style. We do not have a massive staff, so if the phone is ringing, it is probably one of us trying to answer it while balancing a cat or a dog on our lap. It is a lot of physical work and we do not have those fancy automatic doors or expensive air conditioning systems. The ceiling fans are always spinning to keep the place cool during the hot summer months. Sometimes the dogs get into a loud barking match in the small waiting area and we have to step out from the back and calm everyone down. It is just the normal daily life for us here in Khar. We know most of the local pets by their names and we see them grow up over the years.
