Sim Tech

We are located at Andheri East Nagdevi Cross Lane 3. Sim Tech is right in the thick of things. Nagdevi is a very narrow and crowded street, so there is always a lot of shouting and horns honking outside. Our shop is small and packed with all sorts of technical hardware. We have shelves that go all the way to the ceiling. You need a ladder to get to the top ones, and it is a bit wobbly. Most of the time, we are helping people find specific valves or fittings that they cannot find in the bigger stores. Our hands usually have a bit of oil on them by the end of the day. It is just the nature of handling metal parts all the time. We don't have a computer system for the stock; we just know where things are by memory. If you ask for something, we can usually point to the right corner. The fan on the ceiling doesn't do much against the Mumbai humidity, but we keep it running anyway. We get a lot of regulars who come in just to chat before buying a single bolt. It is a very social way to run a business. We close up exactly at six because the traffic getting out of Andheri is a nightmare if you wait any longer. It is a gritty, busy, and honest place to work.
