We are based over in Kurla West, right in the heart of the Bail Bazar area. Our office is Room No. 46 inside the B.M.K. Compound in Kranti Nagar. If you’ve ever been to this part of Mumbai, you know how hectic and loud it can get. We do structural work, which basically means we spend our time thinking about how to make buildings strong. Our office is small and usually smells a bit like old paper and construction dust. We have blueprints rolled up in corners and samples of materials sitting on the desks. It isn't a place for meetings with fancy suits. Most of the guys are out at building sites during the day, so it’s often just one or two people here handling the phones. We’ve been in the compound for years and know all the other businesses around us. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze, especially when we have a big project going on, but we make do. We don't use any big words to describe what we do. We just build stuff and make sure it stays standing. Sometimes the power goes out or the rain makes the roads a mess, but we just keep working. It’s a tough business in a busy city, but we like the challenge. We are just local workers doing our best with every project we take on.
