You can find us over on Dattapada Road in the Antop Hill area. We run our classes in a building that is right in the middle of all the local activity. It is a simple place with a few rooms that we have set up with chairs and boards for the students. Every afternoon, the stairwell gets noisy with the sound of kids coming up for their lessons. We teach a variety of subjects, mostly focusing on what the students are currently struggling with in school. Antop Hill is a crowded place, and the sounds of traffic and people outside are always there, but we try to keep the focus inside the classroom. We do not have any fancy equipment or digital screens. It is just a teacher, some students, and a lot of textbooks. Sometimes the ink from the markers gets all over our hands, and the floor needs a good sweep after the last class leaves. We have a small area where parents can wait if they come early to pick up their children. It is not a corporate learning center; it is just a local spot where we try to help the neighborhood kids get through their exams. The humidity in Mumbai can make the rooms feel a bit stuffy, so we keep the fans going at full speed. We have been part of this community on Dattapada Road for some time now, and we just take it one day at a time, helping one student after another.
