Shri Laxmi Hindu Lodge

We are located at Block No 9 in Devkaran Mansion, which is over in the P Marine Lines area. It’s very close to the Marine Line Station, so you can hear the trains if you listen closely. This part of Mumbai, 400020, is full of old buildings and lots of history. Shri Laxmi Hindu Lodge has been part of this neighborhood for a long time. It’s a traditional kind of place where people stay when they have work in the city but don't want to spend too much money. The rooms are basic and the building shows its age, but we try to keep things clean and functional. I’m usually around the mansion, talking to the other tenants or checking on the guests. It’s not like a big hotel with a lobby and a gym. We just have a desk and some hallways with rooms. Living and working in Marine Lines means you get used to the humidity and the sound of the city. We get a lot of regulars who have been coming here for years whenever they visit Mumbai. They know we don’t have anything fancy, just a bed and a roof. Sometimes the plumbing acts up because the pipes are old, but we get a guy to fix it pretty quick. It’s just a normal way to live and work in this part of town. We don't bother with fancy signs or bright lights, just the old name on the door.
