Shree Krishna Sweets

Shree Krishna Sweets is over in Goregaon West at Nagdevi 7. We’ve been making things here for a long time. It’s an old-style setup. We have big trays of everything laid out so people can see what is fresh. The kitchen is in the back, and that’s where most of the work happens. It gets really hot back there, especially during the festival seasons when we have a lot of orders. We are a small team, mostly just family and a few helpers from the neighborhood. At Nagdevi 7, the street is always full of people. Goregaon West is a lively place to be. We start our day very early, before the sun is even up, to get the first batches ready. There’s always a lot of washing and scrubbing to do. We don't use any big machines for most of it. We do it by hand because that’s how we learned. Sometimes we make mistakes, like a batch of milk boiling over, but we just start again. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just walk in. We like it that way. It’s more personal. You get to know what people like and what they don't. We’ve seen kids grow up and start bringing their own children here. It’s just a normal life at our shop. We don't want to be anywhere else but right here at Nagdevi. We just keep the trays full.
