Seto Teknolog is tucked away in unit 406 of the Hill View Industrial Estate over in Ghatkopar. If you know the area, you know it’s a real maze of buildings and small units. Being on one of the upper floors means we get a bit of a view, though it’s mostly just other rooftops and the skyline of the city. Ghatkopar is always crowded, and getting to Hill View can take a bit of time if the traffic is bad near the station. Our space is pretty functional. We have benches set up for the technical work and shelves lined with parts. It gets a bit cramped when a big shipment arrives, but we make it work. The elevators in the estate are often busy, so we sometimes just take the stairs to save time. It’s a noisy building with a lot of different businesses all working at once. You can hear the sounds of machinery and people talking in the hallways throughout the day. We’ve got a small kettle for making coffee and a few chairs for when someone drops by. It’s not a fancy showroom, just a place where we sit down and get our tasks finished. The lighting could be better, but it does the job. Most of us have been coming to this same spot for years, and we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the industrial estate. It's a practical place for practical people. We don't worry about appearances much as long as the work is right.
