Sarvodaya Educators

We are located in rooms 3 and 4 of Laxmi Building, right on N M Joshi Road in Byculla. It is an easy place to find because we are directly opposite the Byculla station. Being so close to the tracks means we hear the trains rumbling by all day long, which is something you just get used to after a few days. Sarvodaya Educators has been our life for a long time. The space isn’t very modern, but it works for what we need. We have some old desks and chairs that have been with us since the beginning. Every morning we sweep the floors and get the water cooling for whoever might stop by. The area is always humming with activity, especially when the trains let out a fresh crowd of people. We spend a lot of time just managing the day-to-day stuff that comes up. It’s not always easy, especially when the traffic on N M Joshi Road gets backed up, but we make it work. We aren't a big corporation with hundreds of employees, just a small group of people who care about what they do. There is a small tea stall nearby where we usually get our afternoon snacks. Most of our day is spent at the desks, looking over schedules or talking to folks who drop in. It’s a honest way to spend the time, and we are glad to be part of the Byculla community. Sometimes the rain leaks in near the window, but we just put a bucket there and keep going.
