It’s usually pretty loud around here at Unit-7 in the New Tejpal Industrial Estate. Being on Andheri Kurla Road means there is always traffic and the sound of horns outside our doors. We spend most of our time dealing with composite panels, moving them around the warehouse and making sure the right stacks go out to the right trucks. It’s not a fancy office, just a practical space where things get done. Some days the humidity makes the work a bit slower, but that is just how it is in Mumbai. You can find us easily enough because the estate is a well-known landmark in this part of Andheri. We have a few guys here who have been working with these materials for years, so they know exactly how to handle the weight and the size of the sheets. It’s a lot of physical work, loading and unloading, and checking the inventory lists. Sometimes the tea stall down the road is the only thing keeping us going during a long afternoon. We don’t have any big corporate speeches to give. We just open up in the morning, handle the panels, and head home when the sun starts going down. It’s a simple routine and it works for us. The industrial estate has a lot of businesses like ours, so there is always some activity happening. If you ever walk by, you will likely see a truck parked outside waiting to be filled up with panels. It is just a regular job for regular people.
