Sainath Wig Maker

Our workshop is over at 21 Bandra East, and it’s a place where we spend a lot of time working with our hands. Wig making is a slow process, and you can't really rush it if you want the hair to look right. We have piles of different materials and tools scattered across the benches. It might look a bit messy to someone walking in for the first time, but we know where everything is. People come to us for all sorts of reasons, and we just try to help them find what they need without making a big deal out of it. Bandra East is a busy part of town, so there is always noise from the street coming through the windows. We’ve been here for years, and the neighbors all know what we do. Sometimes people just drop in to ask questions about how we make the hairpieces. We don't have a big sales team or anything like that. It’s mostly just us sitting at the tables, threading and sewing for hours on end. My back gets a bit sore by the end of the day, but that’s just how the job is. We use old methods because they work better than the new machines sometimes. It’s a quiet kind of work, very focused. We don't do much marketing because word of mouth usually brings people to our door eventually. It's a small place, but it serves us well for the work we do.
