Started Sagar Store here on Dahisar Commercial Street 12 quite some time back. It’s just a regular spot where people from around the neighborhood come when they need something quick for the house. The shop isn't very big, and sometimes the boxes pile up near the entrance because the delivery comes at the same time every Tuesday morning. We spend a lot of time just moving things from the back to the front. The street outside is always noisy with rickshaws and people walking to the station. It gets dusty, so we spend half the morning just wiping down the counters and the glass jars. We keep mostly the basic stuff—soap, snacks, some stationery, and things like that. Most of the people who come in are regulars we see every day. They don’t say much, just ask for what they need, pay, and go. Sometimes the light flickers in the back corner, but we haven't gotten around to fixing it yet. It’s just how it is. Nothing fancy, just a shop on number 12. We open early before the sun gets too hot and stay until the street quietens down a bit in the evening. There’s a tea stall nearby, so the smell of ginger tea usually drifts in around four o’clock. It’s a simple life here in Dahisar, just keeping the shelves full and the floor swept as much as possible. I usually count the change at the end of the day and write it down in a book.
