Saboo Millstones is tucked away at 209 Kalbadevi. If you know the area, you know how crowded and lively it gets around here. Our shop isn't huge, but it's packed with history and stone. We’ve been dealing with millstones for a long time, and the place smells like old rock and dust. It’s a traditional business. We don't have a website that does much, and we still do a lot of things the way they were done decades ago. People come to us when they need a specific type of stone for grinding or if they have questions about old milling techniques. The stairs up to our floor are a bit narrow and steep, so watch your step if you ever drop by. We spend a lot of time just talking to customers who come in from out of town. It’s a bit of a maze in Kalbadevi, but we like being right in the heart of the old market. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a bit, but we just keep working by the window light. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to make sure the stones we sell are solid and do what they’re supposed to do. It’s a quiet life in a loud neighborhood. We keep our ledgers by hand mostly and prefer a handshake over a long contract. That’s just how it is at number 209.
