Our place is in Jamuna Sadan, right there at Paanch Rasta on MG Road. If you know the city at all, you know that Paanch Rasta is where everything meets, so it is always loud and crowded. We are based in this older building called Jamuna Sadan. It has that old-school feel to it, with thick walls and narrow hallways. We’ve set up our office here because it’s easy for people to find, even if the traffic is a nightmare during rush hour. We spend most of our mornings just getting through the messages and organizing the day’s schedule. There are five of us working here most days, cramped together a bit, but we get along fine. We don't have any of those modern open-plan office things; it’s just rooms with doors and plenty of files stacked on every available surface. Sometimes we have to shout over the noise of the buses outside. The windows stay shut most of the time to keep the dust out. We have a small kitchen area where we keep the tea supplies and a few snacks. It’s not a place you’d come to for the decor, but it’s where we do our business. MG Road always has something going on, so there is never a dull moment when we look out the front door. We’ve been here for years and haven't felt the need to move.
