S M Shah & Company

Our office for S M Shah & Company is at 19 Fort Bank Street. We are inside the Sonawala Building, which sits right across from Cross Roads. If you know the Fort area, you know how packed it gets during the work week. There are people everywhere and everyone is in a hurry. We fit right into that. The Sonawala Building is an old one, with that specific feel you only get in this part of the city. We don’t have any fancy decorations or a big lobby. It’s just the office where we handle our business every day. Being opposite Cross Roads makes it easy to give directions, at least. We start early most mornings because the commute can be a bit of a struggle for some of us. Once we are inside, it’s mostly about the paperwork and the phones. We’ve been here long enough that we don’t really notice the noise from Bank Street anymore. It’s just background noise while we focus on the tasks at hand. We don't really put out brochures or talk ourselves up. People come to us because they need what we do. It’s a no-nonsense kind of place. We keep the files organized as best as we can and try to stay on top of the pile. When the day ends, we join the crowd heading back to the stations. It’s just a standard business day in a busy part of Fort, nothing more and nothing less.
